Strawberry Rhubarb “Paloma”

This is a very cool cocktail. I am taking the Paloma cocktail to next level. Paloma is a classic in Mexico made with tequila, very easy to drink and very easy to make.

Ingredients

  1. 3 slices fresh rhubarb, plus more for garnish
  2. 1 strawberry, hulled
  3. 1 1/2 ounces tequila blanco 100 percent blue agave
  4. 1/2-ounce agave nectar
  5. 1/2-ounce fresh lime juice
  6. Ice
  7. Pinch salt, plus more for rimming glass
  8. 2 ounces grapefruit soda

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add the rhubarb and the strawberry, and muddle. Add the tequila, agave nectar, lime juice and some ice and shake. Strain into an ice-filled 12-ounce Collins glass that has been rimmed with salt. Top with the grapefruit soda and a pinch of salt.

This is an awesome drink, the only thing I did not like is rimming the glass with salt.
