Aguas Frescas

Typically made by blending fruits with sugar and ice, these refreshing non-alcoholic drinks are popular in Mexican restaurants. We added a splash of lime juice to brighten up the flavors.
Level: Easy
Total: 5 min
Prep: 5 min

Instructions

  1. Blend 5 cups of any chopped fruit (we used strawberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, honeydew, watermelon and mango) with 3 cups water, 1/2 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons lime juice. Add more sugar and/or lime juice to taste and serve over ice.

This is an excellent summer drink. Tasty, refreshing and kid friendly. I used a combination of peach and mango (2 1/2 cups each. Delicious! It works equally as well as a spritzer by adding a little club soda to each glass…..or perhaps a shot of vodka for an adult beverage. Can’t wait to try other fresh fruits.

This is amazing. It is a nice refreshing drink on a hot summer day. It isn’t to sweet, and you get a hint of the lime. Love it.

This is so refreshing and wonderful! And so easy to make! One of my friends couldn’t drink alcohol, so I made it for her, and it was a big hit! I absolutely loved it! Made it with strawberries and blueberries. I added a little more water than what the recipe suggests and it was just perfect!

These drinks are super easy to make and are a great summer treat. They’re also a great way to enjoy fruit! I split the recipe in half and still ended up with a good amount, but the full recipe should work well if you’re serving several people.

Is it 5 cups of one type of fruit with the 3 cups of water and 1/2 cup of sugar with 2 tablespoons of lime juice, and repeat for each other fruit you want to use? That’s what I am going with.
