If you need them crispy use a cast iron frying pan, or cast iron baking pan. The extra heat will crisp them quickly, while they will still be moist in the middle.

Please, could someone look into why I no longer can print out recipes.  They used to print out perfectly.  Now, much of the directions are cut off.  It is very frustrating

I’m giving one star because I know Ree knows better!  When I looked at the 2 min. video here in addition to the show today, it confirmed that they wouldn’t be crisp or anywhere near done, based on the size of the fries she cut on the show.  Just looking at the finished product on the video here verifies that.  Fries are supposed to be crisp – they required a lot more baking time and still not crisp.  There’s no excuse for that – clearly was not tested out with other cooks.  A major disappointment and don’t understand how this oversight occurred.

I have not worked much with sweet potatoes and was looking for something that would not take an hour or more to cook. These looked wonderful, so I gave them a try tonight to go with dinner. Both my husband and the baby ate them right up! The only problem I had was that they were a little mushy (I like my fries crispy), but my husband liked them so that’s a HUGE win!! I see these fries again in our future!

I’ve tried so many sweet potato fries recipes and so far this has been the best for me.

I only give them a three because they did not get crisp, but they were very good. My husband eat them all up. So I will be making more.

I followed the advice of others. I only added olive oil and since I didnt have seasoning salt i just did salt, pepper and a little garlic salt. I baked them for about 45 minutes or longer. They were delicious. not really her recipe but good none the less.

I’ve been a long-time reader of Ree’s blog and I enjoy her show. She made making these look so easy and they looked so scrumptious on her show! However, as other reviews state, these did not get crispy at all. I don’t know if it’s because she was using a fancy industrial oven or what, but I kept these in the oven for longer and they were soggy.

If you’re going to make the recipe, leave out the butter or you’re going to have a delicious, flimsy mess. I read to leave out the butter before I started making them, but I ignored the review. Definitely listen to them.
