Reviews
Not a huge french fries lover but these were awesome! And the Hubby loved them. After reading the revues, I baked at 400 for 10 minutes and turned potatoes, then baked another 15 minutes. They were perfect. But I must admit I didn’t do ‘wedges’ so they weren’t maybe as thick as the recipe called for. YUM!
I love these! However I baked them at 400, turning after 10 minutes. Thanks allrecipes! I always come here first
Quick & Easy!
I loved this recipe i just added cheese bacon and sausage but on a side note thank you I’m in love with it
I use recipes from allrecipes frequently. Sometimes I read the review suggestions; sometimes I don’t have time. BUT, the suggestions should not be necessary to make a good recipe! They should be helpful modifications! The oven temp is much too high. After turning the potatoes at 15 minutes, they were starting to burn. Also…no salt? The couple that avoided being charred had such a bitter flavor.
I added in some carrots and everyone loved it. This recipe is a keeper for sure.
I corrected the directions. I only cooked these for 20 min. and turned them after 10 minutes. Otherwise they burn. I love these. I just had to add salt. These are so delish and better for you then fried. I already made them twice in 2 days. I used red potatoes.
Our son loves these! Also use this recipe with sweet potatoes.
I used Yukon Gold potatoes as that’s what I had on hand. I used 4 medium sizes and cut them fairly thin. Made the seasoning with exception chili powder These turned out great! Reminded me of Wing Stop fries. Will defintely be making these again. I did follow other and baked at 400.
Very tasty! I adjusted the time and temp as others have stated. Use you judgement with your oven and watch them so they don’t burn.
5 stars….Indeed my kids favorite fries…. Perfect temp at 450 for 45 minutes. Some ovens may be different. My oven cooked them perfectly following this family favorite. Thank you for this great recipe.
Excellent recipe! I added a bit of McCormick bacon and chives. it was yummy!
These were amazing! Made them for my picky boyfriend and I and he was shocked they were baked! Definitely going to be making these once a week at least. I also cut my potatoes thinner because I prefer crunchier fries and they turned out well. I took them out 8 minutes earlier since they were very thin.
Very good. Cooking on a dark pan seems to help brown a bit more.
The flavor is good, however, the temperature and time are very wrong. I made a second batch after I horribly burnt the first batch. I’m sad to say, the second batch was burnt as well. I’m thinking this should be more in the 375-400 degree range for only 30 minutes. Maybe…
This is an easy recipe to make if you are not good at cooking
These are the best fries I’ve ever made they have a nice flavor.
By far the best, baked fries I’ve come across. I used grapeseed oil instead. It has a higher smoke point than olive oil, and it’s a very neutral flavor. I also skipped the chili powder since my daughter isn’t too keen on spicy foods. The garlic was just perfect.
I may never fry my fries again! Thank you…
They tasted really good! The only thing is, DONT COOK IT AT 450 degrees!!! It came out pretty burnt, and I only cooked them for 1/4 of the time when my smoke alarm went off, whoops. I recommend 350 degrees, for about 25 minutes, and stir them twice. I also cut the wedges into fries, and added salt and pepper before cooking. Other than that they tasted great! I’ll be sure not to burn them next time… 🙂
Delicious. They did turn out a little dark at 450 but they were great. Highly recommend. I turned twice while baking.
