Salty, crunchy, creamy, tart and sweet and in my case hot, I used a chili fig jam….was excellent, and can see lots of other possible jam and nut combinations….this is a real go-to quick appetizer that tastes fancy!
This is sooo good, especially when you want something fast, easy, and portable. All 3 ingredients are fancy and festive for fall parties like chili contests, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. You can take the ingredients to a party and assemble onsite. Don’t forget the crackers – Enjoy!
I improvised on this idea and used homemade tomato jam instead of fig jam and toasted pine nuts instead of pepitas. It was a hit at the New Years party I made it for. The party’s host begged me to let her keep the leftovers (I split them with her – couldn’t let it all go! It was delicious!)
This was the hit of the Christmas Party. I used herbed goat cheese and it was fantastic. My daughter in law too the two inches that were left home with her!
