Ingredients
- 4 slices fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 3 ounces vodka
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can grapefruit-flavored seltzer water
Instructions
- Muddle ginger and sugar in a mixing glass until crushed.
- Add vodka and stir to dissolve sugar. Strain into 2 ice-filled Collins or rocks glasses with a salt rim. Top with grapefruit-flavored seltzer.

I’m a huge fan of Juliana’s cocktail recipes and appreciate that they’re “skinny” cocktails with light refreshing flavors. This one, however, had almost no flavor, and all I could taste was the vodka. Next time I will use double the ginger and maybe add a small squeeze of grapefruit juice or grapefruit twist/peel.
