Ham and Cheese Skewers with Crunchy Maille® Cornichons

Vegan enchiladas don’t just have to include a sweet potato or black bean filling. Consider experimenting with TVP, a very adaptable substance. TVP is merely dehydrated soy vegetable protein that is rich in plant protein and entirely vegetarian. These enchiladas are improved by rehydrating the TVP with pasilla chile sauce rather as the usual warm water or broth.

Ingredients

  1. 12 Maille® Cornichons
  2. 12 cherry tomatoes
  3. 4 slices country ham
  4. 1 small block of Swiss cheese, cut into cubes
  5. 4 wooden skewers

Instructions

  1. Cut each slice of ham in 3, and roll each piece on itself to form a little square.
  2. Slide a Maille® cornichon, then a cube of ham, then a cube of cheese, then a tomato on a skewer. Repeat 3 times to fill the skewer.
  3. Repeat for each skewer.
