Ingredients

  1. 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  2. 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  3. ½ teaspoon cornstarch
  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine almond milk, maple syrup, and cornstarch in a small saucepan. Whisk until all the cornstarch is dissolved. Continue to stir frequently over medium heat until the mixture comes to a slow boil. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla.
  2. Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Shake before serving.
  3. You may replace maple syrup with equal amounts of coconut sugar or agave syrup.
