Reviews
I did what another reviewer suggested and smeared cream cheese on the prosciutto before wrapping it around the asparagus. I took them to a dinner party where I was responsible for appetizer and salad. Everyone wanted the recipe and more. I am not fond of asparagus and have made it 3 times within a 2 week span. It is super fantastic! Thank you so much
I always smear the prosciutto with salmon cream cheese before wrapping my asparagus. AMAZING. It’s important to ask the deli counter to slice your prosciutto a bit thicker than what they usually sell pre-sliced. They’ll come out perfect! Ps. Spray a little black truffle oil on them after taking them out of the oven just before serving for an out of this world gastronomic experience!
Everyone loves this. I wrap the spears in swiss cheese and prosciutto and it’s a hit!
I suggest squeezing a lemon over all when you take them out of the oven. Add a bit of the lemon zest if you can. Adds some color and another level of flavor.
So easy, beautiful & delicious!
I followed the recipe precisely, and they were delicious! Amazing, since I made them for my hubby….I don’t even like asparagus, but these were amazing. The asparagus were small, so I wrapped two or three at a time in the prosciutto. The prosciutto was cut very thinly, but each slice had a piece of paper between it and the next slice, so it was fairly easy to handle
Wrapping the prosciutto was a total pain! Not worth it in my opinion.
So easy and delicious!
Loved this! I drizzled the finished asparagus with balsamic glaze right out of the oven and served. Everyone went nuts for them.
I made the recipe as written and also with the suggested addition of a little cream cheese spread on the prosciutto. The original recipe was just missing something, and the altered was perfect so 3 stars for the original and I highly recommend a little cream cheese.
I bunched 2-3 asparagus together and wrapped with a whole piece of prosciutto. I followed the recipe and it was a hit!!
I actually had my kids make it – they wanted something fun but easy to contribute for dinner so we searched and found this recipe. It was great, easy to follow directions and healthy (kids and their friends didn’t care). We ended up making it three times because everyone was eating them all up! Thanks for this.
Delicious and super easy to make!
Awesome and easy. I added a bit of shredded Parmesan just before serving delicious
Very easy recipe to follow. I cooked mine about 5 min extra. Came out great!
Great dish!
I added a lemon cream sauce to drizzle over it…also good if you add swiss cheese before baking….
So easy and do delicious! This healthy & Keto friendly dish is awesome with the prosciutto it as such a great flavor to the asparagus I put mine under the broiler for about an additional two minutes to get that chard & crispiness of the prosciutto.
Oops I hit enter by mistake on a previous review. This is the fourth time I have made this recipe and I would not change it one bit except for haps a little bit of ground black pepper. There’s no need to par boil the asparagus it cooks fine per the instructions. I tried the Parma di prosciutto from Costco as well as their bulk asparagus and that worked great. I actually cut the prosciutto lengthwise in half with a pair of kitchen scissors. They are packaged on small wax papers so this was very easy to do and it made more even slices. It was actually very good quality and much easier to work with than that from my butcher. Also keep in mind that you don’t need that much prosciutto to wrap these, and if you keep the asparagus at an angle you can wrap it with a very thin slice and the prosciutto does not overpower the asparagus.
So simple and so delicious. We’ve made this several times for either appetizers or for a side dish and never seem to make enough! Even for those who hate asparagus, this dish is a winner!
We wrapped the asparagus all the way from bottom to top and it came out delicious. The prosciutto was semi-crispy and the asparagus was still firm and not overdone. The next time we make it, we might try it with a cream cheese mixture of some sort.
