I have been making this for several years and it’s always a hit!
Made this for our NYE celebration and it was absolutely fantastic! I did sub in Grand Marnier for the Triple Sec because that’s what I had on hand and it was excellent. Used Garnacha for the red wine which is a great fruity Spanish red. All in all, I will be making this early and often!
We made several batches of this for a party and it was a big hit! We made a couple of test batches beforehand, one with a good Crianza Rioja ($12/0.75L) and one with Bota Box Nighthawk Black Red Blend (the best box red I’ve found so far, $17.50/3.0L). The results were equally good, so we served the Bota Box version. It got a lot of compliments; five stars for sure.
Wonderful way to usher in summer! A great blend and a huge hit! A do again and again!
Made this for Christmas eve dinner, not a drop left. It’s delicious!!, it was a HIT!!
I made many gallons of this recipe for our daughter’s wedding and it was a HUGE hit! I used Snoop Dogg’s 19 Crimes wine as the base. The guests loved it!
If you add the orange juice to a pan with the black berries and pom seeds and mash them up with a potato masher you yield a much more flavorful drink. I used cosmic crisp apples and oranges all from Trader Joe’s. Two different bottles of wine that you should let breathe first if they are aged in oak barrels, and yeah, this was a huge hit for everyone who tried it. I’m sure there are other recipes out there, but I never made sangria before and this was a wonderful summer beverage! We drank it on the river after my baptism to celebrate. Thanks for the magic, and remember to add my tip!
A big hit at a big party.
Excellent recipe! I will definitely make this again!
I’ve been using this recipe for the holidays! I add sprite right before serving to get bubbly or champagne
