Instructions
- Blanch green beans in boiling water until just cooked. (We like ours a little crunchy.) Meanwhile, saute sliced mushrooms in butter over medium-high heat until golden, then toss with the drained, blanched beans and some salt and pepper. Top with French-fried onions.

I was looking for quick, easy, and something my kids would eat. This fit the bill and was perfect for what it promised. I did add garlic, but I add garlic to everything.
love the simplicity of this recipe, i added some sauteed garlic as well. and used the cheddar flavored onions…big hit with the kids…win-win
After reading several of the reviews I blanched the green beans with a crushed clove of garlic and approximately one teaspoon of salt. After draining the beans I sprinkled some bacon crumbles along with the mushrooms and fried onions. It got rave reviews from the wife!
I used 3 cloves of garlic cooked them with the mushrooms. then added sallt , pepper , and poultry seasoning ( dried not ground). Then the green beans. Topped it off with the onions just before serving , so they wouldn’t be soggy. Was a big hit !!!!!!
I made this green bean dish for Thanksgiving, because it seemed super simple and tasty. However, it was the most boring thing on my menu. I overcooked the green beans, which was my fault, but even still, it was just boring. It didn’t make me want to eat it at all.
The recipe is not bad at all but i had it a twist BACON and it was delicous!!!! i love ittt
duh….this recipe is incomplete
Sorry, georgia, but you’ve got this recipe mistaken for the Green Been Salad recipe just a few clicks away.
