Ingredients
- 2 cups long-grain rice
- 3 cups water or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Put the rice in a medium saucepan with a cover. Stir in the water or broth, salt, and pepper. Smooth the rice to make an even surface, cover and heat over low to medium-low heat until all the liquid has been absorbed and rice is tender, about 15 to 20 minutes.

i could never do rice on the stove top it always was hard or too soft or stuck to the bottom of the pot so thank you now i can do it right and i know its just rice but its nice todo it the fast way instead of waiting for my steamer
