Ingredients
- 4 cups thinly sliced cabbage
- 1 cup grated carrots
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons celery seed
- 2 teaspoons cider vinegar
- Pinch sugar
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Combine the cabbage and carrots in a large bowl. Set aside. Combine the mayonnaise and sour cream in a small bowl and mix well. Stir in the celery seed, vinegar, sugar and some salt and pepper. Pour the dressing over the cabbage and carrots and toss to coat. Chill and serve.

The celery seed ruined the whole thing. It is so bitter, that is all I could taste.
This is a great start to a customized cole slaw, whichever flavor direction you want to take it. For me, I go with 2 Tbl of apple cider vinegar to start. I go from there…

This is the best and healthiest you can make… My only take would be thinly sliced Claussen pickles on top with Roma Tomatoes for texture and flavor.. P.S…. No sugar.. Happy 4th my friends…
