Very, very good and very easy. Just salt to taste as this salt is very course.
The Boys have some fun receipes, but this is not a well thought through one because it simply doesn’t translate into practise.
I am really sad to see a receipe published which calls for cooking four whole leeks – no trimming instructions, no divisions, and suggesting the quantity will serve eight – for an “elegant dinner party”. Come on! You’ve got a chicken breast on each plate – and then what – a giant whole leek on every other plate? No first course. This is not an elegant dinner party – imagine it in reality – no beginning. Chicken breasts, a veggie on alternate plates . Lets get a little more professional here.
The flavor was good but you couldn’t eat them because the outer part was too tough even though it was thoroughly cooked. I figured I should have peeled off several more layers off each one first but the only tender part was a little skinny part in the center. It was disappointing but looked good for the presentation.
