Reviews
The nice thing about this website is that you can type in a few ingredients and get recipes that use those ingredients. That’s what I did here. But I had sweet italian sausage (Premio brand) and so that is what I used. And having read the prior reviews, I added some sesame seed oil to the saute pan, 1/2 cup extra of chicken broth, some fresh parsley, and parmesan cheese. Plus I omitted the red pepper flakes. I used whole wheat pasta and put a lot of salt in the water when cooking. This dish was soooo good. I can see substituting zucchini for the broccoli in the future. Worthy of repeating.
What is it missing? Maybe some Thyme, or an italian seasoning blend. I never knew about thyme until I took a cooking class. Good stuff
i read the review before i made the dish. it was missing a little something. i used hot italian sausage and added the red pepper flakes so mine was really spicy but we like spicy at our house. Also, I added some season salt and a little extra garlic. at the end it still needed something so i put some parmesan on top and i think that made the difference. overall i thought this was a nice summer time easy meal.
I also like my broccoli a little more tender so i cooked mine a bit longer.

Not what I would call gourmet, but a pretty good throw-together weeknight dinner. I added a small can of diced tomatoes and a bit more garlic than it called for; a full cup of broth and crusty bread to sop up the plate remnants.
very easy, the kids liked it, but it seems like it’s missing something… can’t place it, though.
