This is the best fruit salad, the flavors are amazingly refreshing and with no sugar it is not too sweet, just perfect with the honey. Terrific. I won’t serve any other fruit salad.
Best fruit said my wife have ever had. The tasty marinade makes the whole thing…..doesn’t matter what kinds of fruit you put in it. Used Almost 3 TBSP fresh mint from garden……NOT TOO MUCH…can’t go wrong w this one ….DELISH!!!!!!!
Excellent! Very easy to make, and the lime give a nice zest to the taste!
Very tasty!,! , Surprising Great Fresh taste the mint with the lime and Honey, My Go to Fruit Salad. Thank You
I followed the recipe as is and it was delicious! I admit I was skeptical at first, but I was so wrong! I’ll never eat plain old fruit salad again. :
DELICIOUS!! I’ve been making assorted berry and kiwi fruit salad the past couple of summers with no dressing…blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, kiwi, mango, pineapple, very pretty and tasteful but this new fruit salad with this dressing is so refreshing! The mint with honey and lime juice coasts the fruit and gives it the perfect combo of tart and sweet. I added fresh blueberries and fresh mango too. Colors are gorgeous. Dress the salad just a couple of minutes before serving. OK to make dressing ahead. I would give it more stars if I could!
When I asked what I could bring to a picnic we were attending they said either an app or desert. Thought of fruit salad but wanted to look to see if there was one out there that was jazzed up a little. Saw this and though it sounded great I worried about the mint being over powering. I made it throwing in some blueberries and frozen mango and added the “dressing” a little at a time. Then ended up using all of it. The Mint is not overpowering at all just adds an element of freshness to it. The sweetness of the honey and lime reminding me of a glaze you would add to a fruit tart. Delicious! Needless to say, people were eating it all through the party, as an app and for desert! Totally gone!! This will be my go to for a lot of picnics!! :
DELICIOUS!!! I served this salad at a brunch I hosted and my guests loved it. I agree with past comments: the dressing is the key! I used fresh mint from my garden; that coupled with the lime and honey – agree again with others – no more boring fruit salad. As another splash of color (but mosly because I had them and needed to use them I sprinkled a handful of fresh blueberries on top before I served it. So good! Thanks Ellie!!!
Yummy! The dressing is the key! The honey, mint and line are a perfect combination. After years of boring fruit salad I tried this for a gathering. Everyone was asking for the recipe. I added Honey Dew melon to make a bit sweeter with the fruit. It’s now part of our Easter Brunch tradition.
So good! I made this for a diverse group of people and they devoured it. In fact, they joked about licking the bowl after the fruit was all eaten! My fruit options were limited, so I kept things simple by only having chunks of oranges and strawberries. I wanted to add kiwi, but they weren’t ripe, so I had to go without them. The dish was still pretty and no one missed the other fruit options. I plan to keep this recipe at the top of my list.
