Reviews
Super quick ans easy recipe. Love the time saver of using pre packaged mix. I added a powdered sugar ans rum glaze to these for a little extra flavor and wow it took it up a notch for sure. Great find
Quick easy and above ALL very TASTY!!! Everyone Loves them!
These cookies are excellent. If you want something easy and quick, but GOOD…here ya go! Every one always asks for the recipe. I agree with kryspykitty. Well said!
You know, I love the reviews for this that say silly things like “these didn’t taste homemade”, etc. especially since the name of the show is SEMI-homemade.
The whole point w/the recipe was to doctor up a pre-packaged mix (aka if you don’t like the mix you are using, you are not likely to dig this customized version of it!?!)
Our family, however, LOVES these cookies (and they are even better w/some dark chocolate chips thrown in for good measure)!!

Very good, quick, and easy! My kids loved it too. Only thing is I recommend warming them up just a little in the microwave after they have cooled, just because they can get too hard to bite into. We loved it!!
These Oatmeal-Rum Cookies are great coffee cookies. The recipe was so simple and the cookies look very homemade! Instead of using real rum, we used 2 tablespoons of rum extract and make sure to refrigerate the dough before making the cookies.
These were awesome! Not too sweet, just perfect. It’s only my boyfriend and I so I sent the rest to his office (so we wouldn’t eat them all). People were begging him for me to send more. I made another batch a couple of days later for th office. They were gone in a few minitues.
the rum adds great flavor. we love these at my house.
My family loves these cookies. I made them a second time and added raisins. We loved them even more. A great recipe if you are pressed for time. Not your typical oatmeal cookie.
The first time I made these, I agreed with some of the other 1 star ratings. The cookies tasted chemically. I persisted and tried a second batch months later and this batch turned out very good and very homemade tasting. I don’t know what I did wrong the first time but I encourage you 1 star raters to give it another try!
