Ok, not great. Not super sweet for those who prefer that. Probably won’t make this particular recipe again.

I love this recipe!  I have been making these every Christmas for the past 4 years!

This is a MUST BAKE recipe for this house.   It’s not a strong spicy cookie, but it is a very good recipe.   My girls beg for them, and if they are home when baking, forget the icing…lol

Total disappointment!! I bake a lot and was puzzled by the ingredient list, but made it anyway, Waste of time, not enough ginger, gross texture. Find another recipe

I made this recipe for the first time. I am not big on gingerbread, however this recipe was wonderful. I followed the recipe to a T. I dont feel all the bad remarks for this recipe are justified. Recipes are simply blueprints to helpwith your cooking. If something went wrong, then it was either you not following directions correctly, subbing items, (unsalted butter for salted butter, etc..etc..etc.. or make time off. Also, what one person may like, doesnt mean everyone will enjoy it. I personally love liver, my daughter hates it…But I think the creator of this recipe did a fine job.

Could people please not review a recipe until AFTER you’ve actually made it?

Overall a bad recipe, too little ginger and spice taste and bad consistency.

I was so ticked to find that these cookies i had made were so disgusting and rock hard. 2 years ago i made ginderbread cookies that were seriously awesome. I looked for the recipe again to make them for my family and thought i had found it. the picture for these things was the same. so thats my fault for trusting a picture. I felt that there were some things lacking from the list of ingredients, but I stuck to it anway and didnt change a thing. Im a pretty fair baker and I cant believe how bad these were. I was so disappointed. I cant believe I wasted my time on such an awful thing. This recipe like I said is lacking in the proper ingredients and should not have the time wasted on it.
