I tried it 2 times, once with banana and once with strawberries. It is much better with strawberries exactly like the recipe says! It is very easy to make for a last minute dessert and still look so pretty!

I was recently introduced to Nutella and fell in love. Found this recipe and had to try it right away. Eating this dessert makes you forget about any stress you might be having. I have found that I personally like it better grilled without the strawberries and then topped with strawberries that have been soaking in sugar – kind of a nutella strawberry shortcake. Either way, it is wonderful.

First FN receipe I ever made. SOOOOOO Easy! Of course I left out the strawberries and replaced with vanilla ice cream. My girlfriends loved it. We all laughed that I was as good as a “tv chef” I didn’t make it on a panini grill. I made it on a george forman knock off. It was great!

I didn’t have all the ingredients but here’s what I did have and LOVED it!

Lemon pound cake
sliced strawberries and the juice that had been fermenting in sugar for another dish
chocolate syrup
whipped cream
chopped pecans.
real butter

I buttered the bottoms of the Lemon Pound cake and put the strawberries in between and grilled it until brown crust on bottoms.

Placed in a bowel and poured the strawberry sugar juice over it and a little ran down the sides, then passed a thin light stream of chocolate syrup across the top three times and a little down the sides. Squirted a half dollar sized dollop whipped cream on top then sprinkled with chopped pecans.

It is the best presentation I have made to date. To look at it was like gazing upon a Monet. But I never wanted to eat a Monet, this dish we devoured!

Thanks a million for the recipe, it was a great inspiration to become creative in my own kitchen. I did later try this recipe to a “T” it was great, but didn’t compare to my own concoction–but what a great inspiration!!

Thanks!

I don’t have a panini press so I just spread a little extra Nutela on the top to help bind the two pieces of pound cake together with the strawberries in the middle and fried like grilled cheese sandwiches (with a little melted butter in the pan)….OMG soooo good! Yeah its Sweet, duh, this is dessert! The second “s” is because you want some more!!!!!

I made this for some friends and it was a big hit. This is so simple to make if you have a panini maker and it is it oh so tasty.

This is my new favorite dessert! Its so delicous, and the idea of grilling it works great! I make them whenever we have company, and everyone loves them! I also added Giada’s citrus whipped cream to them and it added a great cirtus flavor to the dessert.

I made these for my son’s christening. They were loved by EVERYONE!!! My MIL, an excellent Itallian cook, raved and praised them! It was such a hectic day, I didn’t grill them and left the top layer off and they were still great.

I thought the panini itself was fantastic but needed a cool whipped topping to refresh each bite. I also made the pound cake from a box instead of buying it pre-made and it worked great.
