  4. 1/2 cup chopped unsalted almonds
  5. 1/2 cup chopped unsalted pecans
  6. 1/2 cup maple syrup
  7. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  8. 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  9. 1/2 cup raisins, optional

  1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. Spray a large baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl combine the oats, nuts, maple syrup, salt, cinnamon and the raisins, if using. The recipe says to bake for 30 minutes, that’s not enough time, I baked for 90 minutes, and it came out brown and crispy, I like it because it doesn’t have oil or butter.

Love the recipe. I used parchment paper instead of spraying the pan with cooking spray to avoid added fat. Any suggestions on how to make the recipe as a  granola bar without giving up the WFPB part? Thank you.

I think that this is the perfect, simple granola if you’re on a hurry to make a tasty snack! it does not take long to make and I tried it with cranberries instead of raisins it was great!

Love this recipe.

Great basic recipe; added flaked coconut and sesame and pumpkin seeds, didn’t include raisins. If you want clumpier granola, try using brown rice syrup instead of other liquid sweeteners.

I made this recently and it was delicious. I didn’t substitute anything. Just added a little nutmeg with the cinnamon. Stays nice and crispy. This will be a favorite.

This is my favorite granola recipe, and I always have some on hand. Sometimes I substitute honey or agave nectar for the maple syrup, and it tastes just as good. I like that it doesn’t have any oils like many granolas do.

Made this a few weeks ago. Shared some with my neighbor who is on a gluten free diet. After it was all gone I ate a bought version. No comparison! I will make granola from now on. I added flax seed and pumpkin seeds this time, great. Thanks Ellie for another simply wholesome recipe.

Very good recipe. I had just bought a very big bag of oatmeal so I needed some recipes. This one is great, I take it to work with me and eat it out on my route. Thanks for posting.
