Ingredients
- 1 (7.5-ounce) can refrigerator biscuits
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 2 tablespoons apple juice
- 3 cups canola oil
Instructions
- Remove the biscuits from the can and place onto a cutting board. Using a 1/2-inch biscuit cutter or the cap from a water bottle remove the center from each biscuit. Place both the donuts and donut holes onto a sheet pan and allow them to rest and come to temperature, about 15 minutes.
- In a large bowl combine powdered sugar, pumpkin pie spice and apple juice. Whisk together until smooth and well combined. Set aside.
- Heat the oil, in a medium pot over medium heat, to 350 degrees F.
- Fry the donuts, 3 at a time, until golden brown, about 1 minute per side. Remove from oil and place on a sheet tray lined with a paper towel. Repeat with remaining donuts and donut holes.
- Dip the top of each donut into the prepared glaze and place on a serving tray. Let glaze set about 5 minutes and serve.

So Super Easy!! My daughter and I made them after school – we all loved them – Yum!
I saw the show with this recipe and was excited to try it. I did not have pumkin spice googled how to make it and luckily I had everything. I put it all together and they turned out delicious! I made 8 donuts and 8 holes I puchased the larger size 16.3oz biscuit can and they came out perfect just like a donut shop. It was a big hit with my family, I will definately make these again!
OH MY! I TRIED THESE AND MY FAMILY LUVD THEM.. I USED CINNAMON INSTEAD OF PUMPKIN… IT WAS TOO MUCH CINNAMON FOR ME.. SO MAYBE I’LL TRY THE PUMPKIN SPICE.. I WILL B TRYIN THESE AGAIN… SUPER EASY!
Absolutely Brilliant!!! Another Home Run at my house! Made these this morning as my husband got ready for work. We all love them. They are sooooo good! Love how quick and easy they are to make.Thank you for another winner Sandra
I was surprised that they were that good. My grandkids devoured them in 2 seconds. I got the thumbs up from them (and from me, also.
Great apple flavor! It was hard not to eat all the donuts once glazed. I will have to try letting the dough rise next time.
These were so good! We keep powdered sugar, juice and apple pie (or pumpkin pie) spice on hand. All we need to buy to make these is a tube of biscuits. I love that!
I remember making these donuts growing up and they were awesome! Like others here, we put powdered sugar on them. We never cut the donut whole out … just pulled them apart in the middle to make the hole. Good tip to let them sit for a bit before frying them. Delicious!
My 11 year old son and I make these every Sunday morning before church.
It is so easy and so tasty we could eat them every day. My son enjoys making them because they taste good and are so easy for him to help make.

I didn’t know I’d have to serve these immediately. The ones I tested fresh were pretty good, though they fried up in way less time that the recipe suggested, so mine got pretty brown. But when my guests were here a few hours later, and I put them out for dessert, they were dried up and hard.
