SO EASY! And so good! This is my new “go to” appetizer!
I was trying to find Giada’s recipe, which is pretty similar but without the nuts. I made them for my couples bridal shower last summer but I brushed both sides of each slice with olive oil prior to baking. They were a HIT! Don’t skimp on the honey.. it really makes the dish!
I had a hard time convincing my husband to eat it, but once he did, he loved it! Very good!
This was delicious!
I served this for a family dinner and everyone loved it including my two picky granddaughters. Will denfinetly make it again.
I make a version of this recipe that turns out much better. Toast the crostini (drizzled with a bit of olive oil), then sprinkle with gorgonzola and broil on low for a few minutes to melt the cheese (watch it closely). After the cheese is melted cover with chopped roasted walnuts, drizzle with honey and top with a slice of pear. Delicious!
I may use marscapone next time.
cheese wimps might not like this one, but if you use a GOOD gorgonzola and honey, you blue cheese fans are going to LOVE this. it works well as an appetizer or dessert.
I love bleu cheese, and the honey added just the right flavor. Really good!
I was reluctant to use the canned stew at first, but the chicken broth and veggies really perked it up. Tnx Sandra.
