It’s quite similar to horchata, but this Mexican beverage is healthier and simpler to create. Deliver cold.

It was good! Make sure you get a good quality orange juice that isn’t bitter (if you don’t like it that way). I added a little orange extract for stronger flavor!
so good though it took me a few true to get there. the recipe as is is very sweet and the sugar didn’t dissolve. I tried it again with half the sugar, half the caramel, and I used brown sugar instead of white. that combo worked for me!
First, I did not add sugar and I used unsweetened almond milk as I don’t do dairy. I think if I did add sugar it would have been too sweet for me, personally. Absolutely delicious! This is going to be my go to sweet drink… probably will freeze a batch for summer too.
A cool refreshing organge smoothie. We reduced / swapped some of the ingrediants and it was delicious … for my 10yrs olds and me. – 6oz frozen oj with 4oz milk + 4oz water – replaced sugar with some honey – 8 ice cubes instead of 10
Made this using oj, not concentrate. Sugar should definitely be reduced. Didn’t add water since I already had the orange juice.
Awsome id love more recipes like it
At first, I forgot to add the sugar, but it was still good! (Sugar made it better though!! I will definitely make this again.
Pretty sweet. I would give it3/5 stars :l and I can’t really taste the orange. Smells kinda like sugar to me.
Really tasty, if really sweet! I left out the additional sugar because I figured it didn’t need it, and I was right; the concentrated juice is already so sweet! I liked the milky vanilla flavor and the texture.
I loved it. I used unsweetened almond milk and did 1/4 cup of sugar but did not use all of it to cut down on calories.
This is delicious!!! It’s almost like an orange creamsicle but better.
EXCEPTIONAL!
EXCEPTIONAL!
I made this and my husband loved it! The only change I made was the sugar. In place of the 1/3 c. of sugar, I used my equal packets (love my equal) only i 4got to do the equivalent to the sugar and put in 19 packets instead of 8! It was a little sweet for me, but otherwise it tasted really good. We will be making this smoothie again.
5 stars with the egg whites!! A must addition to this tasty smoothie. Also, instead of white sugar, I added a few drops of Stevia. Kids love it and it is even extra healthy without any sugar.
I think little to no sugar is necessary. I added actual orange juice as well and it was satisfactory.
It was very frosty and good texture but it did not taste like anything.
Was wonderful dont have a great blender so i used frozen pineapple instead of ice only thing is it was so strong fromthe orange concentrate next time i will add another cup of milk was a real eye opener will make many more
I really like this as a quick breakfast drink, instead of using bottled orange juice, i made it with fresh orange juice. I also added a little bit of heavy cream and It was great
It was very good, the only problem is I needed way more ice than the recipe said. Would make again 🙂
I really liked this but I did change the recipe a bit and scaled it to 1 serving. I used 3/4 cup orange juice, 1/2 cup milk, omitted the water, 1/8 tsp vanilla, 3 packets Splenda and 6 ice cubes. I have a Vitamix so there was no need to add an egg white (like suggested in a few reviews) since mine came out very frothy. Will make again.
