While brainstorming new ways to prepare venison, my husband and I developed these bacon-wrapped venison nibbles. Those who have tried them have all asked for the recipe.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups hot, strong coffee
  2. 2 fluid ounces Irish cream liqueur, divided
  3. 2 fluid ounces hazelnut liqueur (such as Frangelico®), divided
  4. 2 fluid ounces Irish whiskey, divided
  5. ¼ cup whipped cream
  6. 2 pinches ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Pour hot, strong coffee into two mugs.
  2. Stir 1 ounce Irish cream liqueur, 1 ounce hazelnut liqueur, and 1 ounce Irish whiskey into each mug.
  3. Place a dollop of whipped cream in each mug; sprinkle whipped cream with nutmeg.

Perfect. Yet another version might add an ounce of Godiva, kahlua or both… or replace the whiskey with one or both.

I make a Nutty Irishman by putting Frangelica liquor in a shot glass and pouring some baileys over the top….addicting! and Strong!
