Homemade White Hot Chocolate

  4.4 – 9 reviews

The 1950s saw us baking these cookies in the classroom. They are scrumptious. Chocolate chips can be swapped out for butterscotch, peanut butter, or raisins.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  1. 6 ounces white chocolate chips
  2. 1 cup half-and-half
  3. 3 cups 1% milk
  4. ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine white chocolate chips and half-and-half in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until chocolate has completely melted, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in milk and vanilla extract until heated through, 3 to 4 minutes more. Pour into mugs and serve.

This was tasty and easy to make. I topped mine with some pumpkin whipped cream and it complimented the white hot chocolate perfectly. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

This was a really good treat yesterday when the temperature dipped here. Super sweet, almost too sweet for my personal preference. But a nice treat from time to time. My sons both loved it. Next time I’ll cut down on the chips a bit and it’ll be perfect for me.

I wanted to make this recipe using ingredients that go along with my way of eating now. I used Bake Believe no sugar added white chips and almond milk instead of 1% milk. It turned out just fine. A fun, warm snack for a chilly day.

2.4.21 An indulgence for sure, but oh-so-GOOD! It’s in the 30’s in Florida this morning, and this really hit the spot.
