This delightful iced peach tea has a flavor that is uncannily identical to one from a well-known Italian chain restaurant. If preferred, top with peach slices and serve over ice.

Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 slices fresh peach, or more to taste
- 6 cups water
- 3 tea bags
Instructions
- Make syrup: Mix together water, sugar, and peach slices in a small pot; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and simmer, crushing peach slices as you stir, until sugar is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and allow peaches to infuse syrup, about 30 minutes. Strain to remove peach slices.
- Make tea: Bring water to a boil in a medium pot. Remove from heat and add tea bags; cover and steep for about 5 minutes.
- Remove tea bags from the pot and pour in syrup. Cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until ready to serve.

I tried twice and it was nothing like peach tea. It was really sweet tea, no peach flavor at all. Maybe recipe is wrong??
I have never had peach iced tea at any restaurant but what I can say is this is absolutely amazing! Not too sweet at all… Just perfect!
