Taking a little work, but totally worth it!

Total Time: 10 mins
Servings: 2
Yield: 2 cups

Ingredients

  1. 1 frozen banana, thawed for 10 to 15 minutes
  2. ½ cup vanilla soy milk
  3. 1 cup vanilla fat-free yogurt
  4. 1 ½ teaspoons flax seed meal
  5. 1 ½ teaspoons honey
  6. ⅔ cup frozen blueberries

Instructions

  1. Cut banana into small pieces and place into the bowl of a blender. Add the soy milk, yogurt, flax seed meal, and honey. Blend on lowest speed until smooth, about 5 seconds. It was AWESOME! It was also really icy cold and good with ice!

Great. I subbed almond milk for soy milk and coconut milk vanilla yogurt for the regular vanilla yogurt. Sooo good.

I loved it! I only had vanilla yogurt and vanilla almond milk, so I left out the honey. I was afraid it would be too sweet. Substituted peaches for the banana, since it was what I had on hand. Will definitely be making this again!

Healthy, delicious and refreshing! I used plain yogurt, halving the amount. I had to add more soy milk to get the blender going. I also used agave nectar in place of the honey and added 1/2 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder. As a reviewer suggested, coconut soy milk sounds like a good option. Thank you – will make again! UPDATE: Used honey, the protein powder again and used lemon Greek yogurt (that needed to be used). That gave it a very subtle and delicious lemon flavor.

It’s honestly really great. It’s sweet without being too sweet. Definitely making again.

A little thick but enjoyable

I’ve never made any kind of ‘healthy’ smoothie before so this was a first for me. I substituted the banana for some fresh strawberries and soy milk for skim. I’m not even a fan of blueberries and I have to say this smoothie was delicious. I would absolutely recommend this recipe. It’s simple, easy, and tastes great.

Very good! Will add this to my regular routine

Good, but extremely thick. Saved half for the next day and thinned it with some fruit juice. Didn’t have any flax seed. Put everything in the blender and blended–didn’t thaw the banana or think to read the instructions. Don’t think it made a difference.

Very nice smoothie, I made a couple of changes (lactose) Used almond milk and lactose free vanilla yogurt. I also added a scoop of lactose free vanilla protein powder, keeps me full longer. Thank you for the recipe.

This was AMAZING I did a few minor changes… I didn’t have vanilla soy milk so I added 3 % regular milk and vanilla I added a couple of ice coupes cause I loveee cold smoothies. I didn’t use frozen banana just a regular one and I used a little more blueberry than called for and I didn’t have honey so I added a little bit of sugar. SO GOOD! This is a keeper! I also added almonds cause I dont have flax

I left out the banana the blueberries the honey and the flax seed and used plain yogurt. It tasted a lot like plain yogurt. Awesome!

I made this smoothie as written except that I used skim milk ( because that is what I had). I omitted the honey too because I felt it wasn’t necessary. It was delicious. Thanks for sharing!

I made the recipe as is… Felt like it needed a tang to it. Too much blueberry. Think next time I’ll add raspberries or strawberries

I just made this and it is great! I didn’t make any changes! Thanks for a perfect smoothie!

So easy – would not suggest using the vanilla or honey

Made it this morning (1/10/2016) and both of us (me and my 8 year old daughter) loved it. We did add a few ice cubes though!

I used nonfat plain Greek yogurt and (Silk) almond milk. Greek yogurt has more protein and less lactose. Didnt use the honey but did add a Stevia packet and vanilla. A great alternative for breakfast with a lot of nutrition. My husband likes it too
