My mother used to prepare this recipe for copper pennies, which includes carrots, celery, bell pepper, and onion, for summertime picnics.

Wonderful recipe, tastes exactly like the expensive store-bought eggnog! New favourite.
OMG!! This is delicious. I made it with skim milk , Stevia and sugar free pudding for fewer calories. Right now I’m using it as a coffee creamer. Next Christmas I add Rum or Brandy. YUM YUM!!!
It’s just okay! I think regular egg nog from the store has much better flavor. This recipe made for a thicker version and I could tell it was missing some sort of spice…
This is awesome! Taste and texture is just like the eggnog you buy at the supermarket, but no eggs! I like that it’s lower fat and calories as well so I don’t feel as guilty adding a splash or two of rum. I might try it with sugar free pudding next time.
This was fantastic! I made it without the rum extract and the flavor is very good. I was recently diagnosed with an egg allergy and I was so disappointed as “egg nog season” approaches. But this solves that problem! So excited to serve this and enjoy it!
OMG!!!! SOO GOOD! I have always been a Hood eggnog drinker till this heavenly rec. I only made a minor adjustment because my daughter is lactose intolerant. I used Lactaid instead of milk. Because the Lactaid is on the sweet side I was able to use a little less sugar. Every thing else is PERFECT!!!! Thank you so much for sharing.
I love this recipe and we make it every year now thank you so much!
I’m not crazy about eggnog but I did like this. My kids who love eggnog loves this!
This was amazing! We were looking for a Ponche de Crème recipe and my Trinidadian Nanee gave this a big stamp of approval! Added 1/2 a shot of rum to each glass before we served it. Definitely will be making this again next Christmas
I take this to all my holiday gatherings and its always well loved. Thank you for making the recipe and posting it.
This nog came out great! A great alternative to store-bought nogs that have a lot of extra sugar and additives. No, I don’t think the instant pudding is a health food, but I think this is a less expensive and slightly healthier option than store-bought nog and it tastes great! Easy to make as well! Will use this often and especially when milk is on sale, this is a great value! Will share this recipe with vegan friends as I’m sure it could be made with plant-based, milk-alternatives.
Great for my kids
Fantastic!!! I used 4 cups of 2% milk and a cup of half and half, only because that’s what I had on hand. Turned out great. Kids and adults love it! The rum extract is mandatory- it gives it the true egg nog flavor.
i love this recipe… however my 3rd and 4th batches are coming out too thin… i know i am doing everything right. Any suggestions?
I made this without the sugar and it was a hit. I have been making it for 2 years now and love just as much now. As I did the first time.
Coworkers loved it for Christmas!
I made it exactly as your recipe, minus the rum extract. Doesn’t taste exactly like eggnog, but it’s real close. Very tasty. I will make this again!
We loved this!!!! I made this exactly according to the recipe and it was just what I was looking for. No eggs! Now, I am not an eggnog expert but I do drink it every year and I was trying to find a healthier recipe and this was it. I’ll def make it again next year. I’m going to try it next time with the super-skim fat free milk.
Great taste. Making a second batch now. Thank you!
Came out good added cream too.
This is a GREAT recipe for eggnog. I actually tried it because I had used all of the eggs making deviled eggs 🙂 It tastes VERY much like the store-bought eggnog that has gotten SO expensive. It is EASY to make, and quite a hit. I did trade a pint of whipping cream for part of the milk so that it would be thicker. Thanks!!
