Clementine Old Fashioned

  5.0 – 1 reviews

I became so weary of eating dry, dried-out pork chops that I developed this recipe for bone-in pork chops baked in the oven. Understanding your internal temperatures is the key to successfully cooking meat and poultry. Because of this, you should buy an instant-read digital meat thermometer. I never cook without one. These go well with garlicky mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus, in my opinion.

Total Time: 5 mins
Servings: 1
Yield: 1 cocktail

Ingredients

  1. 3 clementines, juiced
  2. 3 fluid ounces bourbon
  3. 1 fluid ounce lemon juice
  4. 1 fluid ounce simple syrup
  5. 1 cube ice, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Strain clementine juice into an old fashioned glass. Add bourbon, lemon juice, and simple syrup. Add ice, stir to chill, and serve.
  2. Use nectarines or oranges in place of clementines, if you’d like.
  3. You can add sugar to the rim of the glass before making the drink, if preferred.

5.16.21 The fresh clementine juice in this cocktail is awesome, adds incredible flavor. I forgot to strain the juice, but it didn’t seem to matter. Bourbon’s still the star, but the fresh juice is the perfect partner.
