Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon white sugar
- 4 fresh mint leaves
- 1 ½ cups ice cubes
- 1 ½ fluid ounces brandy
- ¼ ounce Benedictine® liqueur
- 1 sprig mint, for garnish
Instructions
- Place sugar, mint, and a splash of water into a glass. Muddle gently, and then add ice to the glass. Pour in brandy and Benedictine, and stir. Add fresh mint for garnish.

Made these for the Kentucky Derby and they were a big hit!
I liked this. When I made my second one (he he he) I didn’t add the sugar but doubled the Benedictine as that was plenty sweet. I couldn’t taste much more of a difference. I don’t love sweet cocktails- so if you are making this for the first time use the sugar.
