Ingredients
- 2 medium beets, scrubbed
- 1 green apple
- 1 avocado, peeled and pitted
- ¾ cup fresh pineapple chunks
- 1 banana, peeled
- ice cubes
Instructions
- Juice beets and green apples, including peels, in an electric juicer.
- Combine apple-beet juice, avocado, pineapple, banana, and ice in a high-speed blender; blend until smooth.

Made this exactly as written and really enjoyed it. Beets and bananas can be overpowering in smoothies, but here they balance each other out nicely. This made about 20 ounces, a good size for 2 servings. The amount of ice wasn’t stated, but I used 1 cup and it was the perfect consistency.
