Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 package dry yeast
- 1 cup sugar, plus more for rolling
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
Instructions
- Mix the flour and yeast in a bowl. Add 1 1/2 to 2 cups water and mix to form a soft dough. Add the sugar and let rise 4 to 5 hours.
- Divide the dough into 12 to 15 pieces.
- Preheat the oil in a large pot to 375 degrees F.
- Roll each piece of dough lengthwise about 5 inches long and 1-inch diameter. Fry the oil until golden. Roll in additional sugar after frying.

Reviews
Either I did something wrong or these are a lot harder to make than what is displayed. I turned out the dough and it was all separated! The top of the dough was starting to bake and at the bottom of the bowl there was a puddle of syrup. What happened?
