Simple Garlic Dip

  4.7 – 9 reviews  • Cold Cheese Dip Recipes

Because my family enjoys this Spanish dessert so much, I normally prepare 8 portions so we can have it twice in a row. Of course, you could also use half the ingredients.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 10 mins
Servings: 10
Yield: 10 servings

Ingredients

  1. 10 ounces cream cheese, softened
  2. 1 cup milk, or more to taste
  3. 1 cup sour cream
  4. ½ cup mayonnaise
  5. 3 cloves garlic, pressed
  6. 1 pinch ground black pepper, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Beat cream cheese, milk, sour cream, mayonnaise, garlic, and ground black pepper together in a bowl with an electric mixer.
  2. You can serve this right away if you’d like, but it tastes better when chilled for 8 hours or overnight so the flavors have a chance to meld.

Outstanding…..Only adjustments was because of personal preference. Added more garlic and used half of the millk based on other reviews. However, if you would like a little more thin, follow the recipe as written. Thank you. This will be a keeper for sure…..

I make this recipe as an easy go to for potlucks and such. My Dad’s 3 favorite things are garlic, mayo and black pepper so needless to say: it’s a huge hit! This dip is also very versatile. The few times I’ve had some leftover, I used it as a base for pasta salad or cole slaw!

I added a whole bunch more garlic and used heavy cream in place of milk and now it’s delicious!

I made this dip for a theme party I hosted. I almost didn’t serve it because the garlic smell was pretty strong. Well…they devoured it and praised it continuously during!! Next time I will double it! They all left with the recipe! It’s a keeper!

Not a bad base to start with but way to much milk and needs more garlic. Maybe the garlic is my thing but like a pretty strong taste.

Hooray! This tastes like a garlic-garlic dip made with a mix purchased at a party once. Now I can make it without the mix. I did double the minced garlic for a stronger flavor.

This was really good – I liked being able to make a dip like this at home without a mix. I served with multi-grain gluten-free crackers and wavy potato chips. It just needs a little bit less milk and way more garlic. 😉 UPDATE: I made this a second time and can say that it’s a MUST to use fresh crushed/minced garlic — do not try to substitute granulated or jarred garlic, it simply doesn’t work.

So easy, so yummy!!!

Quite good! When made as listed, I found it to be just a tiny bit too thin. I think if I make this again, I will either lessen the milk or add in more mayo. We also used it on salad as a dressing and it was really good! If you are a garlic lover, you will love this!
