Peach Salsa with Habaneros

I enjoy peach salsa. This tastes fantastic when cooked with any mix of mangoes, pineapple, papaya, and plums. Exceptionally good with grilled chicken, turkey, or hog.

Ingredients

  1. 3 large ripe peaches, peeled and diced
  2. 1 lime, juiced
  3. 2 tablespoons minced red onion
  4. ½ habanero pepper, seeded and minced, or more to taste
  5. 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  6. ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  7. ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  8. salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine peaches, lime juice, red onion, habanero pepper, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and pepper in a bowl, stirring gently so peaches don’t get bruised. Cover and refrigerate so flavors can meld, at least 2 hours.
