I substituted a pack of Sauzon Goya for the Cilantro and I did half green chillis and half jalapenos for a little kick. Very easy, and tasty!
This recipe is the best! We had a restaurant called Carlos Okellys that isn’t here anymore but the recipe of their salsa was just like this identically made. So awesome! loved it!
Excellent! Added 1/4 tsp. Cumin. So easy!
Didn’t have stewed tomatoes but small diced and added a half of a jalapeno as I like spicey: pulsed till very thin as I like it that way. It was great. Next time I’ll try it with stewed tomatoes and add some cumin.
We love this recipe. I add some cumin and a pinch of cayenne pepper for more spice.
Awesome salsa I just start off with but I eventually wound up substituting and adding. I used Roma tomatoes. A teaspoon of tomato paste and 1/2 jalapeño pepper.
So easy and very easy to make. My family was pleasantly surprised.
Used tomatoes I froze last summer, and Hatch chilies I roasted and froze last summer. Simple and delicious. Thanks for the inspiration!
This is the best salsa ever! It’s easy and mild, just the way I like it. You can add a little cayenne pepper or hot sauce to add more heat.
Absolutely love this recipe! I have made it at least 5 times and can’t get enough. The only substitution I use is jalapeño peppers instead of green chiles to give it an extra kick!
Delicious! I added 2 chopped jalapenos.
Great recipe but I did tweak it a little. I roasted fresh Roma tomatoes and 5-6 cloves of garlic. I added two jalapeños and a little chili powder, plus added zest from the lime along with the juice. It tastes great but I’ll likely add some hotter peppers next time for more spice.
I used only one can of stewed tomatoes and substituted the chili for a single habanero and simply added everything whole into the processor and it turned out amazing and made everything quick and easy
Great recipe highly recommended by a friend. Definitely a hit will be making it again!!
Made it and added some jalapeños… SO GOOD
lived it but suggest uses fresh jalapeños instead of canned green chiles. it makes this much better and fresh.
I give it 5 stars for how easy this was to make. It’s not the best salsa I’ve ever made but considering how easy it was I thought it was great. I drained the tomato’s as other suggested, still found it a bit watery but not too bad.
I’ve made this recipe tons of times with my family. It’s a real favorite in our house! Gone in days! I usually add a lot more lime juice, as well as some jalapeno peppers
The recipe was fantastic. I added an additional two table spoons of cilantro and one large jalapeño. Very tasty
Loved this salsa! I had 5 Roma tomatoes, so I used those instead of stewed. I Followed the recipe except I cut the salt to 1/2 tsp, juiced a whole lime, & used lots of fresh cilantro. I like my salsa chunky, so I didn’t blend it. Came out great!
Very easy to make and man is it ever good!! Thank you for this recipe!!!
