Too plain. I think it needs some onion flavor garlic flavor may be cumino, and a little spice to give it a ki
This is, by far, the best guacamole recipe. EVER. My go-to recipe since she made it on The Kitchen years ago.
Simple and delicious!! Best part is there are no onions or tomatoes, all the things I dislike about guacamole in restaurants. The avocado gets to shines through.
Delicious .. No onions ..Yeah !
THANK YOU for not putting onions in the guacamole! I love avocados but hate onions. This recipe is proof that you don’t have to put onions in everything you make and it can still be delicious. I always thought if I opened a restaurant I would name it NO ONIONS!
I love quacamole, and always order it at whenever I can. I’ve tried many recipes which were okay, but not fabulous, particularly after dicing, chopping, mincing, zesting, etc. I saved this recipe after seeing it on the Kitchen, but thought it was too simple to have much flavor. Was I wrong! This was easy – and one of the best I have tried! I didn’t have the cilantro to add (I was lucky I happened to have the lime) but will try that next time too! Thanks Marcela!
This was surprisingly delicious, for how simple and pure it was. Definitely a keeper! The taste of the avocado really shines in this recipe!
I made this and I loved it
This is my New Favorite Avocado Recipe! The fastest, easiest, most refreshing way to prepare & serve avocados. We eat them all the time. I was excited to use this tonight to add some tasty diced avocados to top some perfectly cooked salmon fillets. The luscious green color on top of the orange salmon was beautiful to look at and brought a bright tasty addition to the dish. Just the right amount of lime juice, vinegar and salt. Always looking for new ways to serve them.
I live in San Diego- where we are full of Mexican restaurants and we all trade Mexican food recipes and eat lots of avocados. (They grow here- in the hills all around us.) Usually I add lots more “stuff” to my avocado salsas & other mixtures but Marcela’s recipe lets the avocado truly shine. The only addition I would consider is to occasionally add freshly chopped cilantro for a simple change. Thank you, Marcela for sharing your personal and family secret recipes. You are an important reason why I watch The Kitchen!
