Easy and delicious! just three ingredients. This recipe was an enjoyable oversight. I erred in reading a recipe and came into this wonderful dish! Compared to a typical cake, it has a different texture. It has a wonderful chewiness and is kind of like a hybrid between cake and brownies. Beautiful right out of the oven, served by itself or with ice cream, or when cooled and topped with whipped cream.

added walnuts yum
I baked it for 40 minutes and it was still too long. Just a so-so recipe as easy as it was. I’d rather just bake a banana bread with chocolate chips.
Very good. I followed advice given by another commenter and baked for 30 minutes. Came out perfect. It was still pretty dry while mixing so I added a half cup of water. I wish I had thought to use the little bit of coffee left in my pot. Coffee enhances chocolate flavor. Next time. I also sprinkled some chocolate chips on top before baking.
Needs more bananas
I was really looking forward to this “cake.” All seemed to be going well, but the 45 min cooking time is way too long. I checked it at 39 min when I noticed a slight burnt smell. The edges are burned. I salvaged the middle, but it is slightly dry. It probably should come out of the oven between 30-35 minutes. The flavor was good when I added some ice cream on top.
