White peach flavor is exactly how this tastes!

Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

  1. 5 ripe white peaches
  2. 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  3. 2 teaspoons white sugar, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel white peaches, leaving a little bit of peach skin to add texture and color. Cut chunks from peaches into a bowl and discard pits. Add lemon juice.
  2. Puree peaches and lemon juice with an immersion blender until smooth. Stir in sugar to taste. Blend again. Chill peach mixture in refrigerator for 1 hour.
  3. Pour peach mixture into an ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. This works really great with pluots, nectarines, and yellow peaches also. Ripe fruit is key.

This sorbet was delicious! Of course, I did not have white peaches here in Kansas and instead of sugar, I substituted honey. The end result was simply devine!

Really liked the simplicity of this recipe. Will definitely make it again with 1 modification of using a simple syrup instead of sugar to sweeten sorbet to avoid any gritty texture. We used regular peaches as white were not available when I made this. Added a few leaves of mint to add additional flavor (next time use a mint simple syrup?). It was smooth, creamy and flavorful.
