White Chocolate Popcorn

It’s probably enough of a reason to give this serious thought that you can create this delightful, sweet delicacy without turning on the oven. Beyond the flavor and light mousse-like consistency, I believe your guests will appreciate the classic stars and stripes pattern created by the fresh blueberries and strawberries. UNITED STATES!

Ingredients

  1. 2 (3.5 ounce) packages plain microwave popcorn
  2. 17 ounces white chocolate chips
  3. 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Pop 1 popcorn package at a time in the microwave on high until popping begins to slow down, about 2 1/2 minutes. Open bags carefully and transfer popcorn to a large plastic bag, discarding any burnt pieces or unpopped kernels.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips with butter in top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring frequently and scraping down the sides with a rubber spatula, until mixture is creamy, about 5 minutes.
  3. Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn. Close bag and shake until thoroughly coated, 3 to 4 minutes. Place in the refrigerator to cool, about 1 hour.

Added red and green sprinkles and red and green M&Ms. I have done it with pop corn made in my Whirley-pop instead of micro wave

This was great! There’s a popcorn store in my local mall. My favorite flavor is white chocolate and salted pretzels. Quite dangerous to have this at my finger tips. I used pretzel sticks if anyone was wondering.

I made this in a Big Tupperware bowl and used a little red food colouring and pink sprinkles for Valentines Day. It was awesome!
