Vanilla-Strawberry Puree

This Chicken Bryan dish is a fantastic knockoff. In comparison to the original at Carrabba’s Italian GrillĀ®, my spouse prefers it.

Yield: 2 cups strawberry puree

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound ripe strawberries, hulled and halved
  2. 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  3. 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  4. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine strawberries, maple syrup, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a food processor or blender. Process at high speed until smooth and pureed.
  2. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  3. If your strawberries are really sweet and ripe, you won’t need much honey. But taste the puree, and add more until you reach your preferred sweetness.
