Sticky Popcorn

  4.5 – 12 reviews  • Popcorn Candy Recipes

This brown sugar popcorn was given to me by a friend, but now my kids always ask for it when we have family movie night. Similar to caramel corn, but easier to make and more enjoyable to consume!

Prep Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 10 mins
Servings: 5
Yield: 10 cups

Ingredients

  1. 10 large marshmallows
  2. ½ cup butter
  3. ½ cup brown sugar
  4. 10 cups popped popcorn

Instructions

  1. Combine marshmallows, butter, and brown sugar in a microwave-safe bowl; heat in microwave until marshmallows are melted and mixture is smooth, 30 to 60 seconds.
  2. Place popcorn in a bowl and pour marshmallow mixture over popcorn; stir to coat.
  3. I also tried it using white sugar and a little almond and rum flavoring. This gave it more of a glazed english toffee flavor.

This was tasty and it was fun to make with the kids, but after all the effort everyone agreed they would rather have the popcorn and the marshmallows separate. Don’t think we will make this again.

This looks Delish…but I’ll have to try it with some real cane sugar. The molasses will give it a real great flavor & super sticky texture and deep brown color. Can’t wait to give it a try tomorrow night.

This is very tasty, but incredibly messy. I would definitely take some oven time to firm things up as Maria Latham did according to her review on this item. I think I’ll stick with corn syrup for sugar coated popcorn snacks in the future.

This tastes between a Crackerjack and a rice krispy treat. Good stuff. Not so sticky after a few minutes, it hardens like Crackerjacks. Got it down to a single serving – 10 mini marshmallows, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, mixed with 1.5 cups popcorn.

I make it with 1/3 c popcorn in the air Popper then microwave .5 stick butter with .5 c brown sugar and 15 marshmallows. I bake it on 225 degree oven stirring every 3 minutes for about 10 minutes to crisp I all up it’s so amazing!

super easy and the kids loved it!

Really yummy. I made it for a Halloween treat and called it cobweb popcorn. I made it just as the recipe stated (although I didn’t have big marshmallows. I used the tiny ones; 1/2 cup for each big one). My boys have already requested I make it again.

Very, very good. I was out of corn syrup, so I was looking for a caramel corn recipe without corn syrup. Marshmallows were a perfect additional. Thanks for the recipe!

Really good stuff! Not healthy, but good. And very easy. I’ve used up to 12 cups of popcorn, still works great!

This stuff is insanely good! We have followed the recipe exactly and modified it to include more marshmallows and vanilla. Excellent both ways. The longer you cook the Carmel mixture the harder it will be and the less sticky. I prefer the sticky mess with soft delicious popcorn you goodness.

This is so much like a nice soft popcorn ball! Yum!
