I LOVE this recipe and so does the whole entire family. It gets requested to be made, Great for the holidays on the table or buffet. I follow the recipe as written with two small alterations. I leave the skin on my pears and I cut back on the brown sugar a little bit ~25%. This is a keeper, thank you Misslisa!

Nutmeg overwhelmed other flavors. Tasted like uncooked pie filling. Such a waste of a delicious pomegranate!

I made it the day before and by day of serving guests, pears were a bit browner than I hoped with sugar more visible than would have liked.

This is a delicious, light fruit salad. I made it exactly as written and will make it again.

I didn’t make any changes and I had no problem with the pomegranate seeds because my store sells them separately.

Wonderful! I made this as a vegan dessert for my family at Christmas and everyone raved about it. Even my husband loved it and he is not often impressed with vegan dishes. The blend of flavors is perfect. I will be making this again!!

Very fresh. Good as a side salad or a dessert.

I liked the idea of this dessert because it is so much healthier than other desserts, but the flavors just didn’t come together that well for me. I am curious whether it could be cooked and served warm – I think that might help!

Perfect for Thanksgiving-beautiful fall colors and cinnamon flavor. Works as a salad or as a healthy dessert alternative.

A nice fall dessert! I used a combination of pears and apples, and did use the optional crushed almonds on top. I served this in individual ramekins. Everyone liked it!

So I ended up scooping all of this into a pie crust that I had to see what that would be like (also because the cinnamon and nutmeg really screamed pie to me) and it turned out absolutely wonderful. I added peaches and made a oat crumble top. I served it warm with a dollop of greek yogurt on it and it was amazing. I’m eating a slice cold right now and its even better.

I made this dish but I baked my pear first and served it warm with the other ingredients and topped with yogurt.

This was a very disappointing dish. The pears got mushy after only a couple of hours. The sugary mixture was too sweet. After reading all the great reviews I thought I had a winner, but none of my guests were attracted to the dish because of the texture. I won’t make this again.

I added blueberries and it added more color and flavor. Also I noticed the next day it tasted even better, so

Great/super easy recipe. Shortcuts: I used the pomegranates that are already cleaned 🙂 I didn’t peel my pears.

Terrific fruit salad for Thanksgiving, Christmas, fall/winter parties. (I don’t bother with the almonds or mint.) Vegan; no common allergy triggers; great for potlucks–probably no one else will bring one! And pomegranates are, of course, a high-fiber, high-antioxidant “superfood” (thanks in part to those hard little edible seeds!). It’ll make you happy to see pomegranates appear in the grocery in the fall…

Serve with some footy cheese….yum.

This was okay. We’ll make it again if I happen to have the ingredients on-hand but I certainly wouldn’t go out and purchase the items just to make this.

This is excellent. Took it to Thanksgiving. It was a hit. Healthy but delicious.

It was just ok, would have liked it more w/o the spices.
