Slow Cooker Fruit Cobbler

  4.2 – 25 reviews  • Peach Dessert Recipes

In my home, people love this simple dessert every time. It works especially well for entertaining since it makes it appear as though you spent hours baking when in reality you just threw some basic ingredients into the slow cooker! Peach and berries are my favorite fruit combination, but any fruit that your family enjoys will work. With a dollop of vanilla ice cream, serve hot.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 3 hrs
Total Time: 3 hrs 10 mins
Servings: 8
Yield: 1 cobbler

Ingredients

  1. cooking spray
  2. 2 cups frozen peach slices
  3. 2 cups mixed frozen berries
  4. 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  5. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  6. ½ cup brown sugar
  7. ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  8. ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  9. 1 (18.25 ounce) package white cake mix
  10. ½ cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Mix peaches and berries together in the slow cooker; sprinkle with cornstarch and toss to coat.
  2. Stir vanilla into berry mixture; add brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour cake mix over berry mixture and drizzle with melted butter.
  3. Cook in the slow cooker set to High until bubbling, 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

I made this using a bag of frozen berry mix from the store I did not have peaches so I just use 4 cups of the berry mix it turned out terrible I did not like it at all

This was one of the worst desserts I ever made. I followed the directions, but it tasted so bad that we didn’t even finish it

I followed the recipe exactly. It was very good but next time I will reduce the amount of sugar by half and only use one half of the cake mix. It was too sweet and the cake mix top was too doughy to merit five stars. I think with those two adjustments it will be a five star recipe and it is super easy! Thanks for the recipe.

Excellent!!! I used frozen blueberries and strawberries and the cobbler turned out great. Next time I will make sure to have whip cream to put on top!

This might be my first review! Yum, yum, YUM!! Only used peaches as I thought the mixed fruit was a bit much. Omitted the nutmeg on availability alone. Used 1/2 a box of white cake mix.

We had a super bowl party & I decided since I had a big bag of frozen mixed berries I would try this recipe & it was a huge success!! I Had never tried to try a baked type item in the slow cooker, it was worth a shot. I told everyone they would be my test team & they gobbled it up! Will definitely use this recipe again. I did place folded paper towels between the lid & cobbler & it did keep the cobbler crispy & brown.

I made everything to recipe except I added another 16 oz of peaches and another 4 oz of butter gonna use apples next time because everything would pair REALLY well!

It was so easy! And it was delicious. But who would have know how hard it was to find a spice cake mix.

Absolutely delicious and super easy

I can’t believe how easy slow cooker dessert is! The only changes I made were using 2 small cans of pine apples and half the cake mix. My husband found it too sugary so the next time I did not add brown sugar.

Made this! delicious. Have corn allergy in the house so I used flour. Also did not have cake mix so I used Krusteez Oatmeal Scotchie cookie mix. Awesome with the oatmeal! Enjoy. Will make this again.

I made this “too easy to believe” slow cooker dessert….! But I used a french vanilla cake mix instead of yellow or white, just added another layer of flavor to it..!

This is a great recipe although it only lasted one night will be making this one over .

I made this for work and it was well received. I used all frozen sliced peaches and mixed the cornstarch, sugar, and spices all in with the peaches. One hint I saw from another recipe that I think helped with this one is that i put a long strip of paper towels between the lid and the crock pot to catch the cooking condensation – and I changed the towels when they appeared to be getting pretty damp. This helps the crust crisp up and not be soggy.

I made this exactly by the recipe. The simplicity of ingredients and fool-proof outcome will keep this on my favorites list. Everyone raved about it & added some vanilla ice cream to their cobbler. Yummy!

This mushy. I used all peaches and a spice cake mix but everything else according to directions. I used a casserole slow cooker for over 3.5 hours.

I made this for dessert when I had company over. I used 5 cups of frozen mixed berries, and the same quantities of the spices. I used only enough of a package of spiced cake mix to cover the fruit, and this was a huge hit. I got Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream to put over it… Even my husband, and parents, who don’t like sweets loved it.

It was very easy and sooo good! I used apples instead of peaches or berries. I think the cinnamon goes good with the apples.
