It was good but took so long to cook.

This was delicious! I do think the apples could have come out a little softer. I added some brown sugar on top in the last minutes in the oven like others suggested. Great recipe, relatively easy and delicious dessert that the family loved. I had mine with cool whip.

Used almond flour instead of regular flour due to needing gluten free. Recipe was fantastic! My husband loved it.

I just pulled it out of the oven and it smells great but it looks like the milk almost curdled while cooking.

I mixed corn starch with milk in casserole dish then added the remaining ingredients, mixed – baked – delicious. I’ve made this dish using flour but it didn’t look very appealing.

I mixed apples with pears in this dessert and it was delicious. I also used ground oats for the flour (gluten free).

I made this for a quick fall dessert, but I think it would be good as a side dish for brunch sometime or over oatmeal. I will decrease the clove and nutmeg next time.

Absolutely delicious. I used frozen apples from my tree, and it was a snap to make. I will definitely make this again.

Made a few changes based on other reviews and will definitely make again. I used one of those apple cutter things that makes 8 sections and then cut those in half. Added 1tsp vanilla extract, cut sugar to 1/4 cup, cut cloves to a pinch, cut/swapped liquids to 1/4 cup apple cider. Tossed it all in the slow cooker for 3.5hrs on high which was a little too long as it came out more like an extra chunky apple sauce (still delicious). Would recommend 2.5-3hrs.

Excellent and easy recipe. The only change I made was substituting apple juice for milk

I made this in the crockpot instead of in the oven. Took about 3 hours on high setting. Consistency was perfect but there was too much clove in it for my taste. Will remake it again but omit the clove.

Simple. Had all ingredients on hand except the nuts so omitted. My husband really liked them and we topped with Vanilla ice cream and cool whip. Next time I may omit the cloves or lessen the amount. Will make again.

I ate it but would never repeat it.

I made it as the recipe says only added sliced almonds and salted butter on top, covered it with foil 30 mins then removed it for the rest 30 mins. Like some suggested. Hubby loves it, had 2 bowls right after it is done.

Excellent recipe! Made the recipe exactly are stated and served it with some frozen vanilla yogurt. Next time I will use brown sugar instead of white which I think will give it the bit of flavor it was missing (thus 4 stars instead of 5). I might try it with apple juice, too for a change. The walnuts were very good, I wouldn’t leave them out. I did find the cooking temp too low – after 60 minutes they were still not cooked. Turned the temp up to 400 and they came out thick and bubbly. Will cook at 375 or 400 next time.

Absolutely delicious. I covered in foil and added dried cherries and some oats 20 minutes before the end of the baking time. Ten minutes before the end of baking time, I added a bit of brown sugar. Rave reviews from me to the author of this recipe! Rave reviews from my life partner to me 😀

Im not gonna put raisins because my boyfriend doesn’t like that and not gonna use nutmeg and cloves because I’ve never tried them but this is great recipe and will use it at the family party, thanks

I didn’t have all of the spices so I used all spice instead. I also incorporated brown sugar and granola from another reviewer. Everyone loved it! Next time I’m going to add more milk so there’s more sauce.

Delicious! Just like apple pie without the crust!

I wanted it to have more flavors for me personally. However, I used a semi plain apples. Easy to make and the apples were perfectly soft.

I made with no sugar and added raisins the first batch and cranberries the second. It was a hit.
