This cake has a luscious texture and is wonderfully sweetened with mango pulp. Simply great and very simple!

Ingredients

  1. 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  2. ½ cup cold butter, chopped
  3. 1 egg yolk
  4. 3 teaspoons ice-cold water, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Sift flour into a bowl and rub in butter. Add egg yolk and enough water to make ingredients cling together.
  2. Press dough into a ball and knead gently on a floured surface until smooth. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Use pastry for tarts, pastries, quiches, or other savory goodies.

I had a lot of trouble with this pastry. it was much to crumbly and found that I was adding tablespoons of water in order for it to come together. also found it needed salt added.
