Quick Apple Cobbler

  4.5 – 44 reviews  • Apple Dessert Recipes

This dish is incredibly simple and uses ingredients you probably already have at home. Perfect for office potlucks or after-dinner coffee. Additionally, my sons enjoy adding whipped cream or ice cream to the dish. Change it up a little by switching out the cobbler for a can of cherries or sliced peaches.

this recipe was OK. I did not put in the water and it still turned out a little wet. the consistency was a little hard, and the apple flavor didn’t come through very well. I will not make this again.

Basic recipe works well but I spiced it up and it came out perfectly. I used fresh, thinly sliced apples and tossed them in a little brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger power and nutmeg. I added about a tsp and a half to the batter along with more cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger (I’m a measure with your heart kind of girl but probably about a tsp of cinnamon, 1/2tsp of nutmeg and 1/2 tsp of ginger). For the topping, instead of white sugar I used 1/4 cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Delicious!

Super easy! I doubled the recipe and used a 9/13 pan. Also cheated and used canned pie filling. Made apple and blueberry for a Father’s Day gathering.

Delicious! I used a an 1/8 of water at the end and used half the amount of sugar on top. It was really tasty and flavorful.

I didn’t get the water thing so I skipped it. Used half the butter. We loved it!

I cooked mine in a casserole dish. I had a bunch of apples going soft, so I chopped them up and loaded them on top of the batter. I love it. Very tasty, and a great way to use up old apples. I usually go for apple crisp, but had no oats.

Delicious and super easy to prepare i made it with fresh apples instead of can apples and it is delicious

It was quick and easy to make – I substituted flour with gluten free baking mix (Aldi) – worked great!

I added chopped pecans at the end. I used subbed stevia for sugar. I subbed Lactaid free milk for regular milk. I dashed it with nutmeg, allspice and clove. I used 4 small red sliced thin apples (recipe for 8). I made it for my diabetic parents, they loved it!

I used leftover apple compote with the batter from this recipe. It was decent but I think next time I will use a crumble recipe instead.

I had to increase the baking time, but other than that it was a great recipe, easy and tasty. I served it with vanilla ice cream and everyone enjoyed it.

I had been given some containers of cooked spiced apples…a lot of them so I was looking for something to make. This worked wonders. I have made it twice now and it never lasts long.

Super easy! And I had all the ingredients. I added vanilla cuz you can’t go wrong with a little vanilla. I should have used a deeper dish because the batter rose and overflowed a bit. Also I thinly sliced fresh apples and cooked just a bit longer.

I don’t know what went awry here. I followed the recipe exactly. It came out wet, mushy, and disgusting. I even tried baking it longer and it didn’t help. The top got brown but the inside was still wet and gushy. I don’t understand the reason for pouring water on top before baking it.

It was easy to make. I thought the amount of butter called for was excessive. Next time I will add more peach slices and cut back on the butter. A good recipe.

This is a great crowd pleaser! I added some blueberries and nuts which gave it a little crunch. I will make it again and use peaches too!

Delicious! I’ll definitely make it again! The only change I made was not adding the extra sugar. I really didn’t think it needed it.

First time making cobbler! Made it for a work event and won 3rd place in the baking contest! I did have to simmer the apples in a saucepan with butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar to soften them before baking.

Definitely a good recipe for Yule!!

Really loved the way the apple cobbler turned out.

This turned out really well. My kids loved it and keep asking me to make it again.
