When I realized I was out of whipping cream, I came up with this sauce. It can be used on pizza, in a casserole, or as an Alfredo sauce substitute.

Very good. Make sure that the boil is full before starting your 1 minute timer. Make sure the bubbles are in full roll all the way to the edge of the saucepan. Then start. I usually boil at 7-8 of 10 on the heater dial. It sometimes takes over a minute for the boil to evenly cover the saucepan.
Nice and simple but needs about 1 more cup of oats. If you dont use extra they won’t work out to well.
It was perfect! I had to change the sugar from 2 cups to one plus one cup of confectioners sugar because I ran out of regular sugar. Also, I did not have a stick of butter so I used I can’t Believe It’s not butter and it worked just as well. They are chewy and yummy. Super easy to make. Thank you!!
Too much Peanut butter
My cookies were perfect for the first time ever, thanks to the boiling time included. Can’t wait to make these again.
I use this recipe as a base. Like Becky I found they didn’t stay together. I add extras such as chopped nuts and those left over cereal crumbs. Instead of cookies I press the mixture in a 9×12 pan lined with parchment, cool in fridge, then cut into squares. Fast and easy.
Perfect! Just like my mom made it! Stir until thick is the key!
I don’t know how to reply to the previous person’s question directly so I figured I’d post here. We make no bake cookies all the time! We definitely have to boil it for a little longer. Probably closer to two to three minutes when it’s at a good rolling boil. Not when you first see the bubbles. Also we cook it at about “5” or “6” on our stove. So if your cookies aren’t setting it probably is just needing a little more time. They are so yummy!
I thought the recipe was spot on!
I love this recipe, i made these cookies all during high school. For those of you who have said the cookies are too runny or don’t harden correctly: i always boiled the mixture for three minutes. I like mine extra crumbly though. Try boiling for two and see if that works.
First time was easy leash! Second time I doubled recipe and they did not set up i think I didn’t boil like I should so this time I got it rolling then boil for a minute then added peanut butter then vanilla and oats last. Came out perfect
These cookies turned out wonderful. They sale at my shop more than any other cookie I make. I make both, Creamy peanut butter, and Crunchy. They are both requested, so I never know which will sale the most day after day.
They were really good I liked the recipe because it was really easy to make they were delicious they were awesome thank you for giving me this recipe
My niece and nephew love these. I made them for Valentine’s Day and I made them today for Easter.
Super delicious and easy, can’t wait to make it again!
Well as always, before you start in on a recipe make sure you have all of the required ingredients. When I reached for the oats there was less than 2 cups in Mr. Quakers belly. The butter chocolate mixture was already boiling, what to do, what to do. Scanning the cabinet I spotted plenty of granola. Substituted 3 cups of oats with 1 cup of oats/2 cups of granola. Try it you won’t be disappointed!
Absolutely amazing. We have a recipe for chocolate oatmeal no bake cookies but I picked this one up because freezing isn’t necessary. I do prefer them cold but back when we had a tiny freezer this was helpful. I saw several reviews saying that they didn’t harden or got crumbly but I have the solution. You need to make sure you boil for EXACTLY one minuet, these cookies can be picky. Too short and they’re watery, too long and they’re dry and crumbly. Family loves these and they’re great for a hot day or a sudden chocolate emergency.
No changes were made. Turned out perfect.
A little crumbly texture, but other than that great. I think I will use creamy peanut butter next time.
Great recipe every one enjoyed the cookies.I used creamy peanut butter instead of crunchy. next time i will boil a little longer…it took awhile for the cookies to set…but they were great!
I’ve made this recipe countless times, and it almost always turns out. Although, I did boil it for 1 minute and a half instead of one. I love it.
