This frosting tastes great on top of German chocolate cake. With coconut and walnuts, it is an old-fashioned dish.

Ingredients

  1. 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  2. ¼ cup white sugar
  3. 1 ½ cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
  4. 1 cup chopped pecans
  5. 1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, well drained
  6. 1 (9 inch) prepared graham cracker crust

Instructions

  1. Mix cream cheese and sugar in a bowl until well combined; fold in whipped topping, pecans, and pineapple.
  2. Smooth pineapple mixture into pie crust; chill until mixture has solidified, at least 2 hours.
  3. Feel free to substitute the pineapple with other fruits like strawberries (soaked in sugar water, but not cooked), smashed blueberries, etc.
