I made these, came out very good, I used frozen cranberries instead of dried, I love oatmeal cookies.

I made these cookies following the recipe. They were dry and disappointing. After reading several reviews I gave them another try, with a few modifications. I added a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a teaspoon of orange extract. I used dark chocolate chunks instead of white chocolate. Flattened the cookies slightly before baking, and baked at 350 for 10 minutes. Fantastic! Five stars with these modifications!

Easy to make great to eat and they store & transport well.

they were easy to make! delicious and everyone loved them even the skeptic about oatmeal! Perfect balance of sweetness! Making them again for thanksgiving!

This is the Quaker Oats recipe. It’s delicious! I add 1 tsp vanilla, and for the chunky bits I use 1/2 cup white chocolate chips/chunks, 1/4 cup chopped pecans, and 1/2 cup dried cranberries.

I used to bake these for my Dad all the time, his favorite! This is the same recipe on the Craisins bag, except it only calls for 1 cup of Craisins. They get better, IMO, after they’ve set for a day or two. I also lower the oven temp to 350° instead of 375° and bake about 10-11 minutes, rotating the pans after 5 minutes. I found that at 375° the bottoms of the cookies were overdone/burnt. Dad’s gone now but every time I make them I think of him. ❤️

This IS a keeper recipe. Although I needed to make one change due to unavailability if the white chocolate chips ((WCC)), I’d definitely make these again. The change was using lightly toasted pecan pieces. Might use both WCC as well as pecans from now on.

This is a favorite of mine, especially through the holidays.

I like a moist cookie and these were a little too dry for me.

I should have read reviews first. I would have added vanilla or not made them though. Crumbly, not flat and dry. I was so looking forward to cranberry oatmeal cookies too.

I’m rating 3 because I made some changes to boost the taste. I added vanilla 1 tbsp, increased brown sugar by 1/4 cup, I also added 1 tbsp cinnamon and 1/4 cup walnuts. I made the recipe for 15 cookies so it’s half of the original recipe.

GOOD cookies, but note that the printed recipe does not mention the walnuts, and says “rounded teaspoonfuls”. The video does say to add 1/2 C walnuts, and says TABLESPOONFULL for the amount to drop on the cookie sheet… best to watch it before making. I did use about 1T of dough, but failed to smash them down and the insides were a bit dry. I used white chocolate, dried cranberries and chopped walnuts, For extra flavor, I added 1 Tablespoon of vanilla, and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. Next time I’ll ALSO add some orange zest. I think that will be perfection!

The flavor of these cookies is excellent. I added 1 cup chopped pecans, 1 teaspoon orange oil and 1 teaspoon vanilla as another reviewer suggested but it makes for a very stiff dough—my cookies didn’t spread at all. Next time I’ll add more butter. I will make these again—they’re yummy!

My kids and FIL loves these. I added a little cinnamon, but sure they would have been great without it.

Good recipe, I added some shredded coconut and orange extract to give it a fresh spin. I do make a version of this quite often as it is my husbands favorite. Sometimes just adding what I have on hand.
Thomas Prince
These came out great! I doubled the recipe for a Christmas cookie exchange. I did add about 1 tsp of cinnamon and about 1 tsp of vanilla flavoring. They were a hit!

Really yummy. I too made few minor additions: 2 tsp Vanilla, 1 tsp Cinnamon, 1/2 C Chopped Walnuts

This recipe is always a crowd favorite among my family- I’ve made it on countless occasions. They taste just as good hot out of the oven as they do a week later and are perfect with coffee or milk! Using a little bit of vanilla flavoring DOES seem to brighten up the recipe more!

Very dry, not much flavour, would not recommend or make again

Any cookie with white chocolate chips have always been a favorite of mine. Husband liked. Makes a small batch which is sometimes good so you don’t feel like you’re in the kitchen half the day.
