Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup softened butter
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ¾ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 cups rolled oats
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a baking pan.
- Mix flour, baking soda, and salt together in a small bowl.
- Cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a large bowl with an electric mixer. Add milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir in flour mixture; fold in chocolate chips and oats. Spread into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until top is golden brown, about 30 minutes.

These bar cookies have a very nice flavor and I love the flavor of the chocolate, oats & pecans. However, my bars were very dry. I would suggest cutting the oats from 2 cups to 1-1/2.

Easy and tasty, I used mixed nuts in this and it worked well. Took these to church and they were gobbled up Next time, I think I would prefer peanut butter or butterscotch chips… but they are great this way
